What are LED bulkheads used for?

LED bulkheads are sealed, surface-mounted fittings designed for stairwells, corridors, plant rooms, car parks, refuse stores, external soffits and entrance areas. They are chosen for durability, IP rating against water and dust, and long life rather than decorative appearance, and often form part of escape lighting.

Can LED bulkheads include emergency lighting?

Yes. Many of our bulkheads, including the Nexus range, are available with a built-in 3-hour emergency LED module suitable for use under BS 5266-1. Emergency-converted bulkheads carry a 3-year warranty rather than the standard 5-year LED warranty.
