LED panel lights are flat, edge-lit or back-lit luminaires designed to sit within a suspended ceiling tile or to be recessed or surface-mounted into a plasterboard ceiling. They are widely used in offices, healthcare, retail and education because they deliver uniform, low-glare general illumination.

What sizes do LED panel lights come in?

The standard sizes for commercial LED panels are 600 by 600mm, 1200 by 600mm and 1200 by 300mm. 600 by 600 is the most popular and fits standard suspended ceiling grids, while 1200 by 300 suits narrower bays and corridors.

How easy is it to install LED panel lights?

Standard 600 by 600 LED panels drop into a T-bar suspended ceiling tile, replacing the existing tile with the panel. For plasterboard ceilings, a surface mount kit or recess kit is used. Installation should always be carried out by a qualified electrician.
