Soar III Surface Emergency Light

A surface-mounted emergency downlight is a self-contained LED fitting that mounts directly to the underside of a ceiling, rather than being recessed into the ceiling void. It contains its own integrated battery, which keeps the fitting illuminated during a mains power failure for the required emergency duration. Surface-mounted fittings are particularly useful in buildings with solid concrete ceilings, low ceiling voids, or exposed soffits where there is not enough space behind the ceiling line to recess a fitting.

Square emergency downlights are typically specified when the architectural design of a space favours rectilinear forms, for example in modern office, retail and hospitality interiors where rectangular tiles, panels, ceiling features, or fittings dominate the visual rhythm of the ceiling. Choosing a square emergency downlight allows the safety lighting to align cleanly with the rest of the architectural language rather than introducing a different geometric form.
